Jury Duty

I had jury duty part of last week and part of this week. I spent most of my time working on a freelance project on my laptop and drawing in my sketchbook. On Monday, I was put on a jury. The trial took place on Tuesday. The judge allowed us to take notes. The scan above is all the notes I took. I did my best to pay attention during the trial and only doodled when the judge and attorneys had one of their little sidebar sessions.

And to make a long story short, we found the guy guilty. All told, it was really sort of a sad case. I'm glad I had the experience of actually being on a jury, but it's not something I look forward to doing again. The drawings I did while waiting are MUCH better than what I did in court.
