In my searches for degenerate art and insane animation, I came across this...

Happy Accidents
I just got an IM from a pal about a correction on one of my previous posts (which has now been corrected). He came across my post due to a Google Alert that he'd set up. I had no idea that something like that existed, so I set up a few alerts of my own. Lo and behold, an alert came back that I'd been blogged about on Cold Hard Flash. Pretty cool. I usually go through life thinking that I'm pretty much invisible. Apparently I'm only 50% transparent.

Monster Munchies
ID for Comedy Central that I did with INTERspectacular a few years ago. I did the raw art, Michael Uman and Luis Blanco directed and Devin Clark animated it.
Frankensteve
Frankensteve...one of my characters that I was developing a few years ago with my pal Brian Murray. One day maybe I'll do something more with it.

Roller Boogie Til You Die!
It's been a busy couple of weeks...NYC, busy at work, cranking through sketchbooks, catching up with a lot of my NYC pals, sold some of my comic zines to Jim Hanley's Universe and St. Marks Comics (I ran out before I could sell any to Forbidden Planet), fun stuff.
Now it's time to get some more work done.

Locked Into Lucid Dreams
Sunday night I had dreams that I accidentally bought a used DVD from Netflix online. When I tried to fix my mistake, it bumped up my order to 2 copies of this DVD that I didn't even want. At some point, I realized that I was dreaming and hadn't really bought any used DVDs from Netflix and had nothing to worry about, but the dreams of me trying to resolve it lasted all night, even when I was trying to pull myself out and dream about something else.
Last night I was tortured all night trying to remember the title "Lord of the Flies." I could see scenes from the black and white movie, a book cover with a pig head on a stick. And knew that the title was another name for Satan, Lucifer, the Devil, etc. It wasn't until early morning that I remembered the title.
I'm not sure what's going on with me but I should be having better dreams than these.

Space Kid
Shelly Spahnie
One of my coworkers, Shelly Spahnie passed away last Saturday. Since she worked in Finance and I'm in Creative, we didn't have a whole lot of interaction. When I saw her, she was always cheerful and friendly. One evening when a few of us were out for happy hour, Shelly bought me all my drinks on the condition that I draw a koala for her. I happily did so. What a great lady. She'll be greatly missed by many.
Stop, Look and Listen (1967)
One of the better things I've seen on YouTube recently. Gotta love the pixelation. Now I feel like I've gotta track down other shorts like it, like Gisele Kerozene.

Wolverton Inspired Drawing
The name Basil Wolverton comes up a fair amount when people see my work. While his work has definitely inspired mine, I don't think mine looks like his. At one point I decided I'd do a "Wolverton" drawing. I got this far and then promptly forgot about it. Just found it lurking in a dark corner of my hard drive...looking for something else. I could easily spend the rest of my life just finishing half done stuff sitting on my computer.
